I'm planning to go to Paris by the end of November where I have to buy a new suit for a friend's marriage in December. I'd like something like Dior Homme but I'm not willing to spend €1200 for a suit, as much as beasutyfull a suit can get. So I'm asking what suit should I get for something like €600 or €700, perhaps a little more if worth it. I want a slim suit, even though it should last for all the marriages and formal events in the next years, so I don't know how much would a Hedi Slimane fashion dependable be... Anyway, they are incredible!

So, what would you recomend for a very slim suit, black, with one or two buttons? I can't stretch it up much more than the €700, because I'll be needing a new pair of shoes and a shirt for it, so altoghether might get up to €1000!

I've read somewhere around here that a nice Paul Smith could cost around €600, no?
I'm curious to see how much would a Raf Simmons be also...

I believe you have to check out every day on yoox for you to get anything... they sell out too fast. Anyway, I'd like to try them on first.

BTW, does Dior Homme ever enter on sale or when's the sale season in Paris? Is it worth going there just for shopping?

sale season is twice a year, january/february and july/august. while i don't think that the Dior store hold sales (someone correct me if i'm wrong), you can find some Dior stuff on sale at department stores (Galerie Lafayette, Printemps, etc). i doubt the suits would go on sale though...

Cosign on CN! I have a costume national suit from YOOX. Got it for 800. Just had the sleeves and hem altered. Great buy.

£700 runs at about €1100... For that I'd go for the Dior... I'm really not much into the H&M. I'd like something better. And as for the Costume Nacional, I bellieve it's around €1000 also. But I'll have to check them out too.

What stores do you recomend going first in Paris?
