after having so cleverly bridged an information gap for overseas consumers by attractively showcasing japan and its many treasures, innovations and other interesting topics, monocle has launched a store in the country’s capital and the planet’s top shopping destination tokyo. the magazine’s frontman tyler brûlé and his team flew down to attend the jolly opening party.

the new retail space measures a compact 9 sqm. and is located inside the newly opened francfranc specialty store. it carries the exclusive range of collab items with comme des garçons, porter and blackberry, and monocle’s very own product range. additionally, the new store launched a summer shoe collection with hiroshi tsubouchi and a polo shirt with hackett. location: 3-11-13 minami aoyama [aoyama].

following previous pop-ups in los angeles, palma de mallorca and stockholm, monocle magazine opened up shop in hong kong yesterday, in attendance of its editor-in-chief tyler brûlé [open until may 23]. housed at the lane crawford store at pacific place mall, the store stock exclusive collab items with comme des garçons, porter and blackberry, in addition to monocle’s very own product range. location: 88 queensway, shop 126 [admiralty].
