there’s currently an interesting show at nordatlantens brygge which focuses on iceland’s 150 years of photography history [on until oct 3]. on display is a wide variety of photos of iceland and its inhabitants by 13 icelandic photographers, all born before 1960. the work on display includes photos of the country’s very first professional snapper, sigfús eymundsson. location: strandgade 91 [christianshavn].

the danish architecture center’s new summer exhibition launched last weekend. dedicated to the highly innovative concoctions of sanaa starchitects kazuyo sejima and ryue nishizawa, the show attempts to give an insight in the duo’s refined creative dynamics and architectural vision.

on display is a selection of some of sanaa’s most significant realized buildings, furniture and future projects, and a model of the recently opened rolex learning centre in lausanne. the show is complemented by a series of large-sized photos by photographer walter niedermayr [on until oct 1]. location: strandgade 27b [christianshavn].

we very much like the playful focus of the works at work show at copenhagen’s kunsthal charlottenborg [on until aug 30]. inspired by festival 200, an experimental arts festival held way back in 1969, the show zooms in on both the artistic process and experimentation, in which the artwork is not completed by the artist but through active participation of the exhibition’s visitors. on display are interactive installations and work by various artists and collectives, including ultragrøn, maria torp and bosch & fjord. mind you, the latter’s work is an installation, dubbed culture camp, that allows you a sleep-over [friday nights only]. location: nyhavn 2 [indre by].
